This is a very important game for Manchester tomorrow evening. They dropped points last week losing 1 – 0 away at Bolton and cant afford not to take 3 points against Fulham. Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all recorded victories at the weekend so falling behind even more would be a terrible blow coming into the Christmas period.
Manchester’s home record is excellent, only 2 points dropped so far and only one goal conceded.
Fulham are not well known for their away record, still winless on the road and barring a miracle its not going to come tomorrow night. They have only conceded 8 goals on their travels though and surely their best option of getting anything from United is to shut up shop at the back and try to keep United out. Easier said than done though as Manchester have scored at home in all but one game this season.
Fulham can be a very frustrating team to play against at times and I’m not so sure that United will waltz this one. I’m not so confident on the winning by many goals but I’m more confident that Manchester can keep another clean sheet. 6 clean sheets so far and Old Trafford isn’t the easiest place to go and play. There can be no more slip ups so we can expect a more commited and disiplined performance from the reds. Vidic and Van Der Sar are back and another clean sheet looks likely.
