Aston Villa V Porstmouth
Two in form teams meet here and i have a feeling that this will finish level. A battle for European places is the prize in sight for both teams. Pompey are playing much better away from home than they are at their own grounds and despite all the recent hype surrounding Harry Redknapp i dont think it will affect them as much as some people think. Two very evenly matched teams going head to head and i just cant see past a draw, more than likely 1 - 1 scoreline.
Celtic V St Mirren
Very rarely do i dip into scottish football but i cant help myself here. Celtic should win here and easy too. They have the advantage of not having a champions league game to prepare for next week and for the next few weeks the league will be their main priority. Their last 5 home games were wins by 3 goals or more and they are yet to concede at Parkhead. St Mirren have only scored 3 on the road and are looking like relegation material. We should at the very least see a 2 - 0 win and possibly money back.
Southend V Swindon
Swindon are really a team in turmoil at the moment and im surprised at the generous odds for Southend. They were very impressive last Wednesday night in their 4 - 1 win over Huddersfield so confidence should be high, Swindon have lost the last 4 on the road, that will most likely read 5 tomorrow evening. They are in serious danger of being forced into administration after the collapse of Andrew Fitton's proposed takeover of the club on Thursday. Add in that the manager Paul Sturrock has departed. Its all going wrong for them. Home win.
